Weather

From Terra Nil Wiki

The Weather in Terra Nil is made up of four constant conditions, Precipitation, and four varying conditions, some of which are shared with the Map. The four constant conditions are Sunlight (Sunlight), Wind, Tide, and Auroras. Precipitation is either Rainfall or Snowfall. The other four varying conditions are Humidity (Humidity), Radiation (Radiation), Temperature (Temperature), and Toxicity (Toxicity). In the beginning of each scenario, there is always 100% Sunlight, Wind, and Tide (when applicable) with no precipitation or auroras.

Constant Conditions

Sunlight

Sunlight is type of space weather. During gameplay, there is no day/night cycle and sunlight is constant. Sunlight allows the Solar Amplifier to emit a focused beam of light to ignite controlled burns which produce the Ash tile.

Wind

Wind is a type of atmospheric weather and a renewable power source (Electricity). During gameplay, wind speed does not change and is constant. The constant wind speed allows the Turbine to produce 6Electricitysteadily.

Tide

Tide is a type of oceanic weather and a renewable power source (Electricity). During gameplay, tidal forces are constant which allow the Tidal Turbine to generate XElectricity steadily.

Auroras

Auroras are a type of space weather. In Terra Nil, Auroras are only available in the Northern continent once Toxicity < 5% and are purely aesthetic.

Precipitation

Precipitation is divided into two types: Rainfall and Snowfall. Triggering either of the precipitation events is permanent and produces a mass remediation effect on all Wasteland and Invalid tile "Pollutedocean" defined.. Also, any Lava will be converted to Rock.

Snowfall
